The Floyd-Carpenter House is a stunning example of Neoclassical architecture, built in 1903 by renowned local builder C.C. “Cam” Davis. Commissioned by L.W. Floyd, who established Newberry’s first telephone system, the home features a striking semi-circular portico supported by grand Corinthian columns. Often referred to as `The White House,' it stands as one of Newberry's most iconic residences. The current owners have recently revitalized the home. The exterior of the house has been freshly painted a stunning white, complemented by a wrap-around porch in a classic cadet blue — reflecting traditional Newberry porch colors.
